Hi I know this is not a car related game but does anyone play The Sims.
I have been playing The Sims on Windows ME and it was fine but I had my system upgraded to the latest spec and now it does not work any ideas?
If you upgraded your system and it stopped working, you probably need to re-install the game.
Hopefully you wont lose your save games when you do so - most games offer to retain the saved game information when you uninstall.

I had the Sims running on a Win XP Pro machine no problems.
Worth looking at the Sims 2 it must be good as i cant get my girlfriend off it!
I had the sims running on Windows Millenium Edition and it was fine. I had a problem with my machine so put it into a shop to be fixed and while it was these they updated it with the latest virus softwear along with some Spypot and Spyblaster programs. Now the Sims no longer works. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but no joy.
It actually says on the box that it does not work with Windows ME but I have been playing it for 5 years.
So ok The Sims 2 is out so I go out and purchase it only to find that i dont have enough Ram. So chat the shop to see if i can get a Ram upgrade but due to the fact I have an early virsion of intel Pentium 4 the ram is different about £400 different.

I've been running The Sims on Win2k Pro for ages, but can't get it to run on my son'd WinXP Pro machine.
The bizarre thing is that it will run if I log on as myself (an account with domain admin rights) but with his account (local admin rights only) it crashes instantly.
Can't work that one out at present, and there's no way I'm giving him domain admin rights.

for £400 you can likely replace your entire machine with a better one - PCs are cheap as chips these days...
Yes but my current pc does everything I want it to do apart from being able to play The Sims. It seems a bit extreme to spend £400 just to be able to play a game.
