Just been reading this thread

and was wondering if playback of backed up games is possible on the standard "big" PS2.
What modifications are required, where from and are they relibale.
Can you sell me one or tell me where to get one please.

I have no idea about reliability as I prefer PC gaming.
EDIT - Just noticed they only ship to US but it should give you some idea what to look for.

You need to have a chip installed in the standard PS2 to play 'backup' games.
Technically this is now illegal to have done, but what are the chances.......
You can get your PS2 chipped at most local computer fairs. Some do them there and then, others take them away and do them off site.
Early PS2 chips were unreliably and difficult to install. (Early chips had about 50+ wires to solder in) but modern chips are much more reliable and easier to install.
I have had 2 of my own PS2's chipped (I sold one when I was broke) and have had many chipped for other people. Only 1 PS2 has broke and that was because the person decieded to take the machine apart to clean, and his mrs put her hand in the machine whilst doing housework!!!!!!.. Can't really say that is due to the chip!.
Hope that helps.
