I have currently managed to progress through just over 50% of this game buy fluking some race wins on bathurst but i still can't get through a lap without getting airborne and flying straight into a wall! I have tryed taking the bends slower but just get overtaken!

So could any experienced PH's help! How do you race bathurst!?

Thanks

Cheat! (unless you are online in which case don't).

After the twisty mountain section you come to a very long downhill straight. Just go straight at top speed and you miss a big section out, and Robert's your mother's brother.

If you are playing online, that sort of thing is frowned upon. It become a case of practice makes perfect. You will find that you can progessively take faster and faster lines and go into corners in higher gears as you find the best lines.

Have tryed that a few times (not always intentionally though!) but just seem to get spun to the right! I am beginning to come to grips with this track, managed a 1st but had to wipe out the competition and limp overthe line!! (not on xbox live though, always avoid bathurst online).

Thanks

Bathurst is the greatest track Especially in the V8 Supercars.

What car you racing, with wheel or pad?

A mix of cars (working my way through career mode) with a pad. I'ts getting easier though!

Do you use a wheel? Are racing games easier with a wheel? I've recently been pondering over buying one but not sure whether it would be worth it.

I'm a PC man, and I use a Logitech Momo Racing and I find it fun and rewarding, but have never used a pad to compare.

This thread actually made me play a race on Bathurst - bugger me it's hard! Just couldn't keep up in the race when the cars are on 110% difficulty and smashed my motor up pretty well - career mode appears not to have picked up on my choice of Pro Simulation handling.

This game for me is the best driver ever.

in the custom mode you can race any car that you have won on any track.

Lotus Exige at Bathurst is a classic combination

there is a free race option, but it don't let you play any car on any track on the PC, just the championships

You can download mods from various places that let you play any car on any track. But there's no Exige as far as I know!

Could be mistaken, but it looks like an Exige (hard top & rear spoiler)to me.

You first get them at Rockingham when playing in the main game. In Freestyle you can mix any car and any track.

I seem to have opened all the tracks but there are still a few cars that are blacked out and can't be selected.

Some of them look like Le man type racers. Does anyone know how to open them up ?

I think this thread tells you we can't join you, we don't have the Elise/Exige at all plus I'm not even sure we have Rockingham either...
