Amazon's date is rather optimistic I am sorry to say.

Dec 12th looks almost positive as the actual release date.

Pity it's on the PS2 ;-) Looks really good though. Do they have damage enabled on this one? When is the PS3 due out?

On sale next Christmas iirc.

Cool, am quite tempted by the PSP which should be due out soon.

Hmmm, still no Ferarri, Porsche, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg, Caterham, Noble.

Unless I'm imagining things, Evo ran a piece where Richard Meaden had his Caterham fireblade photographed and recorded for inclusion in GT4. I wonder what happened there? Time saving maybe? The car list certainly doesn't seem to have move on that much.

Yup, and a TVR wedge, and a Citreon DS (i think) and a Leading Edge...

But then the original poster did say some of the cars in the game...

Take a look at this web site, you'll find the Caterham Fireblade.

www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=35057

Sony are intending to release GT4 in December without the on line facility.

By the way, under TVR -V8S (1991), the dates wrong, it should be 1992!

Sega own the Ferrari licence at the moment, EA own the Lamborghini and Porsche licences, so you won't see them in GT soon

As another poster said, GT4 is coming out just before Xmas without the online aspect.

There is no definitive car list at the moment, however, I would expect everything in shown above to be there. And yes, there is also going to be Nurburgring Nordschliefe.

Also, the PSP is going to be launched next spring in the UK.

They have actually released a partial list of cars, which is posted somewhere else

Dec 12th is an optimistic date, but I sure hope it comes out then!

Can we re-name this thread to stop people getting over-excited!

sorry if I sound ignorant, but I dont really play ps2 games....

But what is so good about gt4 over gt3??

The graphics on the PS2 are pretty pants...have they improved the programming that much??
