GAME the high street store has had a change in it's 10-day return policy. PC games will no longer be acceptable for return on the 10-day policy.
PS2 and X box games can be returned as normal.

However I note that the cooling off period for distance selling is still in effect ie buy off the net, if it is naff return it.

Been like that for a while mate. I work for CeX, we DO NOT refund or exchange games as far too many people were taking the pee previously.

Distance selling regs don't cover you if you open CDs or software. You can send them back sealed/unopened for a refund within 7 days.

Looks like I'll have to make them install the games to see if they are worth playing.
Even Virgin/HMV have listening booths, perhaps computer stores ought to try gaming booths.
