Xbox PVR

Hi,

I am considering getting a second Xbox to use as a meders centre and installing Linux on it so I can run some thing like freevo or something similar then connecting this Xbox on to a wireless net to a second pc running frevo witch will act as a recorder and sever for media streams allowing me to connect using the Xbox to watch various recorded/live programs and the like has any one done any thing like this?

why not just buy a shuttle PC case and do it with that for less money? Or there are loads of PC cases available now that are specifically designed to be media centers, and all look better than an X-box (imho)

I am planning on using a shuttle as the central computer however 1 shuttle and then a number of Xboxes is cheaper than a number of shuttles by a good bit. Having said that I am picking up a shuttle later on in the weak so we will see. However the x box remote still gives it an edge to me as a box below the telly type of device

You can get a remote for a shuttle too.
