Get in touch with microsoft support, your warranty will be fine without the receipt. They took my last red ring console well outside of warranty, they'll just want your info and the serial number.

They don't usually ask you to send your hard drive back so your saves should be fine.

Register your xbox on xbox.com .They'll know from your serial number that it's still in warranty and you can schedule a repair from there. They will even email you the label to stick on the box for when the courier comes to pick it up. You wont need your receipt for any of this, only if you intend to return it to the shop you purchased it from.
