GT5 Online challenge - K cars

Has anyone done the new online challenge for 355P Kei Cars? No matter what car I use, I cant touch the leader round the last track (Tokyo bay). I was using the Wagon-R RR, and came second after a Midget D-type. So, I bought and tuned a Midget to perfection (fully lightened, custom gears, race suspension, racing intakes and exhausts and all NA tuning, which brought it to 360pp so I ran with it backed off to about 95% power for 355), however now the leading car it puts up is a small Suzuki 2-seat. It seems whatever car I field, the leader always has a 10 second lead over the rest of the pack, meaning I always come second.

Anyone got any ideas?

havent tried it yet but the suzuki cappuccino also seems to be the best in this class so worth looking for one if not just keep re-entering till its gone

Don't restrict the power of it, use a bit more weight instead over the back end, helps a bit.

You have to be in 3rd or so by then end of lap 2.


The other way is that you quit the event every time the Suzuki comes up...

Just had a go at this. I found it pretty easy using the Autozam, had a lead of about 3 seconds by the end. Brilliant little car.

I did it in the Cappucino. Didn't even need full PP.
Was quite easy when I found the right lines to maintain speed.
Avoid contacting wall/other cars, and it's quite easy.

Thanks for the responses guys. Whilst waiting for a Cappucino or Autozam to come up, I retuned the Midget with full power and some ballast at the rear, and by god it worked! Now I just have to try and win the Rome circuit, which I think is going to need one of the aformentioned long-legged cars, my selection of kei cars being tight-circuit toasters on wheels rather than flowing sporty models

Ah, didnt know that! Mind you, I'm tight anyway.... I've only got 18 million or so credits
