Does anyone fancy joining our Friday Night rfactor league?

We're currently racing 1994 BTCC and are looking for more racers to bolster the grids.
Next season will be Single Seaters (Formula Ford ish) and then 60's Supercars (500hp on sixties tires and brakes).

Our main proviso is that you race clean, we have all levels racing fast and slow and even a few brand new to online racing.

Give me a shout if you're interested and I'll get you all the details.

Hi,

Wouldn't mind giving it a go.

Completley new to PC racing thought have just bought a new machine with the intention of getting into this.

I'll have to get my desktop pc going again and rejoin you lot (assuming it's the same PH group from before) once the actual race season has finished in the next couple of months. It used to be good fun a few years ago. I've not played it all for over a year though so I'll be a bit rusty! I'll try and get some practice in offline before I return.

As a relative newbie to this I've got to say it's great fun and a brilliant challenge. I've now done the R300 Caterham season and as Miltec says we've just started the BTCC season. I can't recommend it enough, especially as there's a good spread of ability which means everyone gets some good close racing in smile

Right, sourced a G27 wheel and pedals.

Can't get online for a week but will be back for advice when I'm ready to join.

DO I just sign up to rfactor online or do I need a buy/subscribe to something?

Hi Rick, You'll need to buy a copy of rFactor, either from http://rfactor.net/web/rf1/buyonline/ or ebay?

Hi,

Just confirming this the the correct item I should order.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/R-FACTOR-SPECIAL-EDITION...

Seems to be some issues running with Windows 7. Anybody any experience? I'm not techy and really can't be bothered messing about. If it doesn' work out of the box, I'll look elsewhere I think.

You can purchase rFactor online, it's only a serial code.

Basicly go to http://rfactor.net/web/rf1/buyonline/ and download the game, it gives you a free trial and the option to buy. Its a very easy process smile

Miltec, i tried to sign in again the other day but not sure if my account has been removed/disabled?

I thought I should post to make clear that although I intend to join you lot, it will be a few weeks yet as I won't have chance until the real life racing season finishes! I'll try and get my pc working properly in the mean time and will hopefully get some offline practice in, seeing as I've not driven in Rfactor for over a year!

you'll probably struggle to find a physical copy anywhere in a shop, I've not seen one for years. Even online sites like Amazon don't have any physical copies on there themselves although there are some sellers on there selling copies through marketplace including some that claim to be new.

Sounds like you need to uninstall it and start again?
