My XBOX has gone up the spout. I brought it 5 years ago, it was replaced 3 years ago so it has lasted 3 years and now keeps freezing.

I have cleared the Cache as per the XBOX website but its still happening. Unfortunatly hasn't gone RROD so I will need to either pay £80 to MS to fix it, or Get a new one.

Are the new ones any better? Are there any decent deals out there currently?

I had this with my PS3 a few weeks ago after 6 years of perfect ownership. Very sad and i've also managed to lose the back-up.

The new X-box is a lot better. More storage space, smaller and seems more reliable (touch wood)

I'd get it replaced. I'm never convinced a repair will last, but that's just me
