that is the plural of PS2 btw, not a new version.

I just want to know if the people who sell PS2s on amazon will give me a product worth the £100 I'd give them. Has anyone had any experience of buying used from amazon, especially buying a PS2, and was it good quality/value for money?

cheers and TIA

I'd say the extra £25 for a new one is worth it, for peace of mind.

So you are saying that you have the £100 for a second hand one, and it'll take you over a year to save the extra 20 for a new one? erm...

so buy a second hand one, then save for a year and you will be able to buy your first game.

www.cex.co.uk - you'll pay 90 quid with 12 month warranty, just make sure you ask for one with the model number 'SCPH50003' (order over the phone).

I used to sell loads of PS2s on Ebay but got hacked off with the number of idiots and fraudsters. I was (legitamately) selling UK machines brand new for about £75, and I can tell you for free I wasn't the only one at it. Keep your eyes open, they are available new or this money.

So just how is life in a box, under the stairs, in a disused cabin, out in the artic then? For surely there can be no other reason for not knowing of the sheer goodness of the god like game that is Rainbox Six Three and XBox Live...

The only thing possibly better (excluding cars & wives) is Aug 20th when Rainbow Six: Black Arrow is born from the heavens...

Seriously though - I haven't swicthed my PS2 on since having an XBox with a Live account. Was never a major gamer but the Live bit (Project Gotham 2, Wolfenstein & the god like R63) really is so much better. Plus you never have to buy memory cards to save a game - the HD is there. And loads of free (and some chargable) content downloads.

I actually gave away my PS2 as it was simply taking up space at the back of the office.
