Exactly, what you do with a PS2 in your home is totally up to you. Almost anything you can name has the potential to be used illegally in some way, banning the offence and not the implement is much more sensible.
the EUCD is a stupid piece of legislation as it is implemented in the UK - anything that can be used to infringe on people's copyright is theoretically illegal i believe. Hence the banning of PS2/xbox mod chips. You can use a CD player, a cable and a pc with a soundcard to circumvent audio cd copy protection. Oughtn't they ban those too?
