New handheld game jobbie gets Button's endorsement
Jenson Button is set to launch the a new racing game along with Gizmondo, the new handheld gaming gadget. Amongst the first titles launched for the device will be 'Chicane' which Jensen was supposedly raving about last week. He's quoted as saying, "Anyone who has ever wondered what it feels like to be behind the wheel of a racing car will love Chicane. It's as close as you'll get to the real thing and matched with Gizmondo's gaming performance, it will certainly get the adrenalin pumping! "
This collaboration will allow gaming enthusiasts to race either as or against Button in the 3D game based on arcade style racing. The new Gizmondo device is also Bluetooth enabled allowing up to four players to race against each other.
"Jenson's new game, mixed with the unrivalled performance of the Gizmondo device, offers a pure 3D driving experience to the on-the-go gamer. This will completely revolutionise the way people view portable entertainment ," said Thomas Fessler, CEO, Handheld Games, who is developing Chicane drawing on Button's trackside experience.
In another world exclusive for Gizmondo, Will.I.Am of The Black Eyed Peas, along with the Will.I.Am Music Group, is to produce the original score for Chicane.
Gizmondo will hit UK stores this autumn. As well as being a gaming facility, the device - built on Microsoft Windows CE.NET - it also acts as an MP3 player, video player, multimedia messaging unit, digital camera and has a GPRS connection.
