Xbox wheel

Evening all

I have decided I want a wheel for my Xbox and I think the Microsoft one is my best option, where is the best place to pick one up cheap? Also what stands are compatible with the Microsoft wheel?

The best one is the Fanatec, but it's about 250 quid w/out pedals I think. The MS one is not great. I had 2 when F3 came out, took them both back for problems. Not even sure if they do them any more.

Yer been looking at the Fanatec and there a couple of people on here who have them but too expensive, the MS one is not availabe new any more.

Is that the one for £120 as that seems a lot for a wheel. As I have heard of people picking them up for the like £60 on eBay and stuff.

That's the one. I didn't know what it was worth so i just looked on completed listings on Ebay and it seemed like an average price they fetch.

The Xbox wheels are cheap ish on ebay.

I had a Wheelstand Pro with it and it was excellent.

You used to be able to pick them up for about £50-60 but with limited choice and Forza4 round the corner, the price people are asking, and seemingly prepared to pay has shy-rocketed.

It's ok, but imo if you want a wheel pay the extra and get a decent one. As you might end up buying another in the future. Fanatec ones are good as some work on both platforms, i.e for GT5 and F4.

I have an MS xbox official wheel with pedals, I didn't know they were no longer available. I got mine in GAME and I am sure I have seen them available in some GAME shops. I haven't had any problems with mine excepting it doesn't sit naturally on the thighs when sitting in front of the TV and using it on your lap.

There is a new official MS xbox360 wireless speed controller steering "widget" being released on a 14 Oct for about £45. It can be pre-ordered in GAME and resemble a large plastic horse-shoe with triggers and buttons. http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/Xbox360/Accessories/Cont...

There seems to be a lack of any decent XBox 360 steering wheels that feature force feedback! It seems you're limited to the TVR steering wheel on Play.com or the rather expensive, but rather nice Fanatec stuff.

I'd personally see if you can pick up an original Official XBox wireless steering wheel. It's a lovely bit of kit; smart, well constructed and can be used on your lap. I'd love a steering wheel setup with clutch and gears for £250, but the only 360 compatible wheelset that provides a clutch pedal is Fanatec.

I believe the new CSR range is about £400 for the wheel, pedals and separate gear shifter

The official one I'm selling is fantastic to be honest. It is the wireless one and comes with the flappy paddles on the wheel and with the pedals. It really is beautifully made and great fun. I just dont get much time to use it any more!

I have always found Microsoft official add-ons to be well made and sturdy. I have hade several MS wheels both PC and xbox360 as well as PC joysticks and trackballs and mice and I have always been satisfied with their build-quality and reliability. The only reason I needed to but two wheels fo my PC was due to a change in interface on the PC from serial port to USB.

Even if I buy the new MS steering device/yoke thing I shall be keeping my MS wheel.

I bought the MS xBox Speed Wheel when I bought Forza 4 and found it to be of good construction (usual for MS products IMO) and responsive for steering in-game cars. However for some reason there is virtually no force-feedback sensation in the device. despite an in-game feedback setting of 100% the feedback remains non-existent.

The speed wheel does not feature force feedback, only proper wheels have force feedback then speed wheel just vibrates the same as a controller

That's the problem...it doesn't vibrate like the standard controller. When the Speed Wheel failed to vibrate I switched to a standard controller and re-run the race on the same track with the same car; but the difference was marked in favour of the controller

Theres an offical one for sale on ebay.. currently £21.
Cant see it going to £120 as they guy is selling collection only.. dunno if Clevedon (just south of bristol) is any good for you?
