But I'm not terribly interested in the games. Provided they are sealed you think I might get £50 on the bay for them, making it a £150 console?

4gb is available for £130 in HMV.
Is it a complete waste of time?

Bit of a fk up really. The bank declined my card for a stupid reason and by the time I sorted it out play put the price up by £30. So now on the look out for a 250gb console for around £180, might wait till Forza 4 comes out to see what deals they have.

As a Playstation person I don't understand this on the Xbox. Is the only storage you get 4GB? As our original 60GB PS3 had about 8-10GB taken up already by software? Always wondered?

No idea which is why I wondered if it would be a problem. I think it is if you want to load games from hard drive / save dvd's etc.

4GB solid state or a 250GB HD version on the slims. I got the solid state 4GB version and read about modding it to take an old HD from the original Xbox and running a 60GB drive I picked up at cash convertors for £20.

That's what I presumed it was for. (Although a PS3 uses a regular computer harddrive as standard wink )

Yes, but you can attach a USB HDD of any size for you game saves etc, plus the next Dashboard update (November) will be bringing Game save etc to the Cloud.
