Just got this, I don't think it's actually out in the UK for another couple of weeks, but boy is it fun!

If you haven't heard about it, it's a sort of Black Hawk Down-esk strategy game. You control two squads of Marines and run around city scapes trying to complete objectives and stay alive.

This isn't your usual game. You don't have direct control over any of the troops, you tell them where to go, what to do, when to cover each other etc but you never get to fire a shot yourself. It's very much like an old Amiga game called Cannon Fodder... just much much better.

If one of your troops gets injured, you need to send a man to pick him up and carry the downed soldier (over the shoulders) through the rest of the mission or back to a base.

Only played for 60 mins so far, top game, loving it... more impressons after the weekend

Sorry, I can't go sending people copies... even if they're members of our secret-handshake-society we call PistonHeads!

Anyway, I really can't be bothered to write more impressions at the moment because I've got a stinking headache from playing the game too much.

Well I'll write a few comments... whenever I get a game, I'll play it for an hour, leave it. Come back the next day, play until I die, turn it off, then try again the next day. Not this game, I actually played it for 6 hours straight with no breaks... I haven't done that since I was 13 years old!

It actually plays more like a puzzle game more than a shooter. It's at a very slow pace, you find yourself in many 'underfire' situations and you have to use your brains to work out how to outflank the enemy.

I'm not a fan of the Xbox, I'm not a fan of war games, but this has me hooked. Right, I'm off to take some pain killers. I'll have to put my hand on my heart and say that this is my favorite game so far this year.

I have to add that there are multiple occasions where you meet up with Bristish special forces. When they open their mouths, they speak with 'bowler hat' english accent "whato old chum, this war just isn't cricket, toodle pip" etc etc. Not sure if it was done deliberatly for a joke or if the game developers actually think we talk like that.
