Richard Burns Rally on an Xbox 360 Pad

Right ive just reinstalled RBR which im going to be playing using an xbox 360 controller as I dont have the space or money for a wheel.
I want to have the acceleration on the triggers but there is always a conflict of axis and so im having to use the digital buttons. The problem is though they are very unresponsive and the brakes keep on dabbing on and off by them selves and the car seems to self steer at times!
Cna anyone help with a config file or similar that I can install into the game to get the pad working properly?
