Xbox 360 Flashing?

Hi all!
I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with a "flashed" 360,
Apparently it changes the firmware so you can buy cheap games?
I suppose like chipping an old xbox or the like?
anyway all experience and advice welcome.

By "cheap" I assume you mean free...?

Play with a chipped console on Live and the chances are your account will be banned.

Flash Manyeah ok erm i flash it so u can play any games it is safe to go online with the new firmware im flashing them with also i do the games 3 for ten pound. what xbox do u have ?..

This was the email i was sent,
I really dont know about these sorts of things i was honestly looking for experience and advice!

Yes because the internet police will track down my internet address and the swat team will come bashing in through the door and take my xbox away from me and brand with with a big "BANNED" brand on the side of it, so it still smoulders when they give it back to me

I was thinking more of a PH Black Ops player pissed off with hacked games who tracks down your GT and reports you.

You cant hack games with a flashed console - the only thing a flashed console will let you do is play copies of games, nothing else. You wanna go after people with a JTAG'ed console, that alows you to run anything you want.

And Black Ops is a bit poo

Its not illegal - my Halo Reach license agreement said I could make one backup of the cd for personal use, which is good since its scratched to fk.
