Couldn't see a thread so thought I'd start one!

Watched the latest videos on IGN, and as someone who sunk probably 100hrs+ into KOTOR 1&2, all I can say is WOW!

It doesn't look a million miles from completion in the vids, and I think this may be the MMORPG that sucks me in!

Anyone else looking forward to this?

I really hope its good and I will probably leave eve for it if it is. However even if its crap we will still be left with some pretty awesome CGI trailers from Bioware

Ill be playing it, iv applied for closed beta testing too, KOTOR 1 was brilliant, never got around to playing no.2 though sadly.

Iv tried a few mmorpgs this year, they all bore me to death, im hoping the hole story thing with this will help me, if not mmorpgs are not for me i think.

Reports from current beta testers aren't great. It's been described by most as 'WoW with a Star Wars license'. Could be a good or a bad thing, depending on how much you like WoW!

Managed to wean myself off WoW a while back. Had been playing it casually for 12-18 months, thinking that I wasn't that "into" it.

A Star Wars one may never let me out.

When I started thinking of my walking boots as having +1 speed and +3 stamina I knew it had gone too far.

Halfway through the working day wondering if anyone had bid on the items I had crafted and put on the marketplace was worrying too.

Now where did I put those installation disks...?

Will this game combine FPS-style and space combat? I had always hoped for an Elite / Freelancer / X-series style (combat / trading etc) Star Wars game with say the Mass Effect series

There is space combat, but for reasons only known to the developers they decided to make it an on-rails shooter, alot like those Flash games you see on websites. The camera follows a set path, and you use the mouse to move the ship around the screen to avoid fire, while shooting at stuff that moves past.

Why-oh-why they didn't implement proper flight like X-Wing/Tie Fighter games is beyond comprehension.

Beta testers got invites on the 15th june, there is more coming in next few weeks, I'm gutted I didn't get one!

Although I have just bought KOTOR I and II off of Ebay to quench my first for a few months, I have played I but cant remember the storyline as I and II are going to be part of the story in TOR I thought its wise to give I another play through, and II iv never played anyway!

Fingers crossed for testing invites for you all, also its not against NDA to say your in testing it is to tell about the actual testing though!

Technically, the game is complete as has been for some time. I watched the late-night E3 stuff and it's.. well, it's okay. It does nothing new other than the fact that it's fully voiced (over 14GB of it). I love SW and I love WoW but I'm not picking this up on release.

Have never played an MMO from release and I think thats why I cant get pulled in like I used to when in my teens, will defo order a CD copy off this as soon as I can.
