Been wondering if this franchise was ever going to make a comeback. Loved the first two games, the third was more an exercise on how to release a buggy game.

I went back in time...

Really amazed how modern the game was.
It had everything. open world. real(ish) physics. working cockpit cam. different surface grip. visual and mechanical damage. wheelspin button which seems more like a clutch.

Has there been a more satisfying moment in gaming than those times in Carmageddon 2 when you get an opponents car sideways in front of your car and push it into the corner of a building, splitting it perfectly in twain?

Also, it surely was one of the last games to insist you use 8, 4, 6 and 2 on the numpad as opposed to the cursor keys.

I Still have the C2 disc somewhere, anyone know if you can get it working on newer equipment and windows?

No way!!! Didn't realise there was talks of C4!!!

Always loved No.1 myself I thought the original car on it looked evil as f*ck haha! Loved the intro movie on it too lol!

I so hope they do stick with what they say about giving the fans what they loved in the previous games! Yay!

We used to play this so much at network games. The person with the fastest PC always won though, first to select bulldozer at the loading screen

I wonder if the people will be 'zombies' again, with an easily adjusted colour hue for the green blood... hmmm...


Look forward to it, as long as it's kept simple again, and no crappy console porting of UI stuff on the PC please
