Steam and Crysis

For some reason my PH search isn't working.

Anybody had problems when dowloading Crysis via steam? It was £2 - so thought why not...only it keeps asking to type in my reg key. Even thou it's already there - even if i delete and retype it won't start.

Anyone know if there is a way around this? First time I've had a problem with games via steam.

I have the same problem.

I'm on W7 64bit, I wonder if tis is the issue.

Looks like steam ran out of keys to give folk.

I'm in the same boat. Raised a steam support ticket asking for an ETA on a fix. Heard nothing.

It worked OK for me, but I installed it a few months ago when it was last on offer. Only problem I've had with it have been with bugs in the game itself - I gave up trying to complete it because it consistently crashes on a particular level.

Ok - cheers for all replies - guess I'm far from the only one with the problem. I'd heard a few bad things about steam - but until now I've had zero issues. Hopefully there will be a fix soon !

So, according to the steam forum this SNAFU has been fixed! Once everyone's gone back to work after the weekend... Oh well, i'll find out later i guess!

If you've never played it you're in for a treat. I had never played it, downloaded friday.. and well. Most of my weekend gone on it, now completed. Great game. Only thing I'd bemoan is the multiplayer doesnt have any decent servers running, just veterans out to kill new players who are only armed with pistols and thus have no chance.

Yup - Steam have fixed this - as you say once the weekend has gone !! Looks good - hopefully get a couple of hours after work.
