I love my deck but I honestly don't play that many games on it via steam. I mainly use it for emulation.
We packed the Gamecube away, now 100% through the Deck (and Dock), it's amazing and pretty much flawless.Thx

What games did you play on the gamecube? Are there any you recommend trying via emulation?
Thx

Super Monkey BallThx

Star Wars Rogue Squadron II
Paper Mario
Zelda Wind Waker
F Zero GX
Simpsons Hit & Run
Skies of Arcadia
Pikmin 2
and most importantly, Burnout 2 (still the best Burnout) with additional crash junctions. So many hours ploughed into those.

PSA. - I bought and installed Fallen Order last night on deck and it works fine.
Seems to change daily at the moment as EA work on migrating away from Origin. Ours worked perfectly one morning and then just stopped when booting it up after lunch!Making a copy of the save then deleting the Proton files (then pasting the save back in) gets it working again, bit of a faff though.
Update on EA titles, I was sure Fallen Order was Verified when purchased (I always filter for 'Great on Deck'), turns out it was...

I'm enjoying having a Playstation without having a Playstation at the moment, Steam Deck on the telly via the Dock and a Dualsense controller connected. Got Spider-Man Remastered in the sale, it's fantastic and runs like a dream. Horizon Zero Dawn also cheap in the sale, will install that once Spider-Man is done with.
Just waiting for Miles Morales and Uncharted to hit the sale now.

I ordered a Steam Deck on 1st December, and it arrived yesterday morning. 64gb doesn't go very far on these - I had a 256gb sd card ordered from Amazon within a hour of opening the box.
Does that work? Using external storage?Or would you go direct to the 256 with hindsight?
I’m not a big AAA type
Get the 64 and then do a drive swap. Thats what I did.
My deck ended up just under £400 for a 500gig. I think the nvme I got was higher spec than what steam use too from factory.
Its just a few screws and then use a credit card to pry open the case and once you have the top open it just peels open.
Unhook the battery, remove the factory drive and then put in your new one. Put it back together and boot from USB.
Allow about 1 - 2 hours for the whole process depending on your internet speed to download the image and make the boot drive etc.
It sounds complicated but just follow the instructions on the various youtube videos and you cant really go wrong.
Then I put my games on an SD card. This means I know my internal drive will likely never run out of space as no matter how many updates and shader files end up on the internal drive in theory its big enough to last for a very long time.
If I fill my SD card (likely) I can always just put another bigger one in in 2 seconds or have multiple sd cards.
IYSWIM.
