K-DST had way more of an impact on my music taste than I ever knew it would at a time.

What a great radio station!
Gta is the reason why my music taste is so varied. I still listen to the San Andreas stations on Spotify. Every radio station has such a good choice. K-DST had way more of an impact on my music taste than I ever knew it would at a time.

Spotify say streaming of Tom Petty's Love is a Long Road is up 36,979% after it featured in the trailer.
It must be incredibly lucrative for an artist to have their music featured in GTA. I have lots of tracks from Los Santos Rock Radio and Non-Stop-Pop that I had either forgotten about or never heard before but have loved from all the time playing GTA V.
Apparently Rockstars nod to Petty for them letting them use his song years ago. Hard to believe that GTAV was already out for nearly four years when he died in 2017.It must be incredibly lucrative for an artist to have their music featured in GTA. In the trailer, you can see “Petty Forever” on the shop door.

I have many fond memories playing GTA5 over winter 2017, which I know is very late to the party.
I’m tempted to delete my save and play it again while we have a wait for GTA6.
I've played it through fully 3 times; once when it came out, once around the same time as you and then during the first COVID lockdown when I was furloughed. Still just as good each time and I fully expect the same for GTA 6. Just wish it wasn't such a long wait!I’m tempted to delete my save and play it again while we have a wait for GTA6.
Did gameplay videos get released for GTA 5? I can't recall what was seen before it actually came out.

Someone leaked some very very early stuff of a shop robbery from memory. Not worth your time looking up, I think the discussion at the time was around was it a scripted mission or can you actually randomly hold up stores in the game. I wonder if Lucia is based on a real person? Similar to GTA V's trio of Michael, Trevor and Franklin.

How on earth these guys spot all these details I do not know, but interesting stuff:

Incredible attention to detail. I can see why the game is taking a while to release as they have to replicate that level of detail an astronomical number of times throughout a very, very big map.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMq4OtZTigk

I saw those videos. Always saw some more recent ones in which the detail looked incredible but always hard to tell what is legit. In terms of all the 'other stuff' you can do in the game, I can't remember which GTA it was where you could go to the gym, go to clothes stores etc.....
I did that for a bit, but from what I remember it was seriously dull lying on a bench press tapping X to make yourself a bit stronger? I do wonder how much actually interesting stuff they can offer you by making 75% of the buildings enterable?

I never finished IV or V. I bought IV on PC when it came out and it ran like total sI’m tempted to delete my save and play it again while we have a wait for GTA6.

Really enjoying IV and looking forward to V, at this rate I might just finish both before VI is released!

That was San Andreas. From what I remember, working out a lot at the gym meant you were stronger in fist fights and could run faster/for longer. SA had some other RPG sort of elements such as skill levels in different vehicles, making it easier to drive/ride/fly as your character became more experienced with these. Can't remember but think there may have been similar system for weapons. As far as I can remember that's the only game in the series with these RPG-style elements.I did that for a bit, but from what I remember it was seriously dull lying on a bench press tapping X to make yourself a bit stronger? San Andreas, they dropped it after that though so I think most agree. I wouldn't mind the characters appearance changing based on outside factors throughout the game tbh. They did a lot with RD2 didn't they. I did that for a bit, but from what I remember it was seriously dull lying on a bench press tapping X to make yourself a bit stronger? They dropped so much, I can see why they don't want Fire / Ambulance missions back in as it doesn't really fit the story plus the boring ones (trucking missions). But vigilante, pizza delivery, and burglary should all be back with various rewards against them. If they're not going to do that then the empire building from Vice City Stories was really great. I thought vigilante was made so much better in GTA IV with the most wanted list to go through, unfortunately there were only about 5 or 6 targets and it gained you nothing iirc, but this could've been really good in V with the larger area and more lived in world.

2025 was referenced in the trailer, anyone know if this is aplicable for PC aswell? Getting some rumours coming through that PC release won't be for 18+ months afterwards, and possibly not 'optimised' as well as the console versions.
Nothing official but previously they have taken up to 2 years with AAA titles, so the general assumption seems to be that. Time to buy a PS5! Not me, you. I have one already.

If you're enjoying Nico and GTAIV I'd highly recommend the 2 story DLCs. The lost and the damned is the biker gang themed one and whatever the other one was called which is excellent especially the mental last mission. The Lost biker gang from the first DLC also appear in V.
