Did I get a glitched attack here :
A large Dragon landed here (behind me in the screenshot) and started an attack, lots of fire I backed off a little towards the caravans you see in front of me in this screenshot and and it buggered off I didn't go far, it all happened just as I entered the area where all the wrecked caravans are. I came back, it didn't and I continued on down.

I came up a lift iirc to the area with the caravans. I killed a couple of enemies and proceeded up the hill. At which point the enemy that you are discussing in your spoiler quotes appeared and wasted me. Next time I respawned I just ran past it and on my right found the bigger lift. I'm not sure why the enemy didnt come back a second time for u.
I'm now level 120 and 70 hours in. I'm far away north in some tree with all manner of menaces trying to kick my ass. Stumbled into the first boss in the tree area without having found the local bonfire, so had 5 flasks left and knew if I died to the boss I'd spawn way back as I hadn't found the bonfire, so the pressure was on. Level 9 godrick hammer and my +10 Ashes spirit and we did the business. phew.

Level 125 - just met Malenia Blade of Miquella . Fk that for a game of snooker. My routine of summoning my spirit ashes went out the window with this one.
She has a unique trait where every time she hits you it builds her health bar back up...
I was wondering when you’d get there. Yeah, hardest boss I think they’ve ever made, took me 60 if not more tries. She has a unique trait where every time she hits you it builds her health bar back up...
Just finished it.
The final boss being a two stage boss with the second stage a great big fking galaxy dragon is utter bull
Luckily my mimic tear ash is at Level 10 and there’s a cheese strategy where you can turn spells you cast into magic swords that can inflict 2k+ damage made it easier than the straight melee I’ve been doing for the rest of the game

OP here, finally downloaded last night. Want a full day to have a go and get into it.
It may take a while to really get into it. Even if I had a full free day, the chances are I'd be worn out before my free time ran out and want a break. I find around 2 to 4 hours a day is my enjoyable max but that is every day since the game released now. It takes more than a day or two to really work out what the heck is going on and the scale of the game starts to dawn on you :-). Let us all know how you go.
Cheers

The red fox is pissing me off. I can never seem to get my sword to reliably fire off it's beams (night and fire)
I had that happen fighting the Fog Dragon or whatever it was. If you so much as think about touching another button it won't trigger.Edited by Trustmeimadoctor on Sunday 27th March 22:33

With the name search on the wiki it says this - After dealing enough damage, it will disappear and move to the hill just south of the Rampartside Path Site of Grace, where it can actually be killed. So it's deliberate, I'll have to go back - https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Ancient+Drag...Also I'm seeing a lot of shimmering graphical issues with the snow shaders on rocks in the north east.
Also Radhan's Lion armour bought from the finger reader back at the Roundtable Hold.
Also found out last night holding B when climbing a ladder makes you climb faster. Like I already knew pressing B on descent makes you slide....yes I know, shut up.

Rage quit tonight, not maybe the reason you might first think.
Spoilers for the end of Melina's quest.
Defeated the Fire Giant, or the utter bd Giant as he will be known, I mean he fought me with his own amputated foot!
Met with Melina at the Forge of the Giants and she went all....
And got transported to the
Defeated 1 bd Dragon, then after my nightmare of jumping across stones with an infinite drop below and succeeding first time I met another bd Dragon, defeating that and with the fast travel options closed out the only way back was back across the stones. Could I do that, could I fu...
They are my nemesis.
Quite ironically, now I looked at the Wiki for where to go, as I had no other way out when I died it takes me back to the site of grace where you are supposed to go back to.

If you're struggling just run. Once you get to the dragon temple (I think) site of grace, you can fast travel. I think you are literally almost there from your description. Spoilers for the end of Melina's quest.

Video of the shimmering venetian blind shader problem. I have had this on Fallout 4 and it was multiple textures fighting for dominance. Also Radhan's Lion armour bought from the finger reader back at the Roundtable Hold.
I have only seen it in the snowy North East.
