Elite: Dangerous
Discussion
On that subject, I picked up a canister of Indite last night near a resource extraction site after one NPC destroyed another. I got to the star port in another system before realising the cargo was listed as stolen. I can't see any black market at the station (I remember seeing these in a previous beta/alpha version) and there doesn't seem to be a listing for Indite in the local commodity market. How do I sell this off?

Try a different station. It has to be sold on a black market, they don't all have one.motorizer said:

Thanks, found a black market in LP-whatever system. Also saw the highest concentration of human players in that system I've seen yet, I guess a lot of folk go there to sell ill-gotten gains. These trading sites can help but at the beginning it is slow.

My word.
I've been enjoying my Oculus Rift. I wasn't going to buy Elite until it was released, but I caved due to the YT vids.
Despite it not being 100%, the chromatic aberration, some screen-door effect, and juddering....totally blown away by it. Most amazing level of immersion, the effects are outstanding - absolutely love looking at the floating HUD's to activate them, and the "charging" message that floats in front of you before the supercruise kicks in.
Due to the current issues with the current OR, it's not really worth it unless you plan to develop on it, but I implore any Elite fans to get the consumer version of it when it's released next year; it'll blow you away.
Agreed, Elite has to be the single best VR experience on the rift at the moment. I think it gives a nice advantage when dog fighting too.I've been enjoying my Oculus Rift. I wasn't going to buy Elite until it was released, but I caved due to the YT vids.

I might have missed something totally obvious...but...
Is it possible to see what stations sell/buy/produce items 'remotely' - ie, if there's a bulletin that says "I need <item> urgently!" is there an easy way to find a station that sells this?
Not in game that easy but see my links on post earlier they may help!Is it possible to see what stations sell/buy/produce items 'remotely' - ie, if there's a bulletin that says "I need <item> urgently!" is there an easy way to find a station that sells this?
Any idea how long the beta has to run or the full release date? I've found reference to Q4 2014, is it close to that or how much more development does it need. Not keen on spending the extra on an upgrade to beta if it's all over in a month.
I have a DK2 to test you see.
what sort of controller is best?

Does this work on mac?
Tempted by this as it seems like it could be good laugh. A guy at work has just got it to go with his nwew OR and says he is enjoying it. If it is compatible with mac I would assume I could pay with/against him even though he is on PC?
But for £50 would it be better spent giving EVE a go?
Any opinions welcome lol

Elite: Dangerous will be available on both Windows PC and three months later on Apple Macintosh computers.
The Premium Beta build is available only on Windows. You will be able to download the released game on Windows and/or Macintosh computers once it is available, at no extra charge.

Still a lot of stuff to come more ships and mining and sun scoops for fuel. As for controller each person is different but I like joystick with keyboard I don't have a hotas atm.
Keyboard not really practical if I play with a rift. So I think Hotas is the way to go, but thanks anyway. The x52 looks nice but £100 is a bit more than I was thinking about paying. Any of the cheaper ones any good. How many buttons do you need to fly around and fight?
