Anyone jumped on this early release yet or planning on it come release date?

Heard mixed reviews but I'm eagerly looking forward to it!

Loved 2 as a kid and enjoyed 3 despite its 'shiny-ness'

I've got it pre-ordered but I'm starting on Global release because I've got work over the weekend and didn't fancy paying £30 more for the privilege. I skipped the betas as I wanted to experience it all fresh for the first time with a character I could keep although I'll undoubtedly end up with multiple alts over time.

I played Diablo III on my PS4 Pro a few years ago. It was my first Diablo game. It was quite entertaining. Played the entire campaign through and then shelved it. Supposedly the post game stuff is good if you multiplayer but essentially i just walked around levels smashing up armies of bad guys and levelling up my gear. Quite addictive but not life changing.

If you have the time and you can get it real cheap, give it a go. Not much to lose.

I played about 15 minutes of the Beta when I had a spare weekend, then decided like yourself, I want it all to be new to me on full release! So glad I did, I blasted a few hours last night and thoroughly enjoying it!

Diablo 3 is worth a shot at it if you didn’t experience the end game stuff, the rift challenges are addicting for sure.

4 is definitely different though! Not a necessity to play 3 first unless you dig on the lore of games I guess!

Suns out again so its getting shelved for a few days now smile

It's worth playing but of you haven't played Path of Exile I'd recommend that well before D3. It's the same sort of game, just a million times better than D3.

3000+ Hours in D3 another 2000+ in PoE

lvl 50 in D4 and OMG its just so bloody boring, hours upon hours of running about, barely killing mobs, so much grinding crap to unlock

they have taken all that made warcraft ste and put it into D4 ...

the thought of rolling an alt or having to do it all again for a season makes me want to format my harddrive

So far I still prefer D2. Just buy D2 Ressurected and be done with it

I understand the frustration, the game is very go here do this level up in the early stages, but Diablo is about the end game usually!

Im at 40 now, pushing through the story on tier 1 is probably the best option in hindsight, level up easily enjoy the story and progress to the end game content!

So far I am seeing that the game is filtering a surprising amount of casuals but this is perhaps unsurprising as it will have sold loads of copies to people who can't grasp the simple concept of 'make big number get bigger'.

Level 53 lightning sorcerer on Tier 3 here.

I didn't play through to the end of any of the other Diablo games but am enjoying this one. I like you can dip in for an hour and achieve something and there's enough complexity that its not just mindless grinding.

My poor mouse is getting a bit of a workout though biggrin

Play To Level 20 For Free Before Buying
World of Warcraft gameplay tutorial. Characters in battle.
Many players may want to jump straight into purchasing World of Warcraft, wanting to get into the game right away. They might even go as far as to purchase the new campaign alongside some game time.

However, players should show more patience and play World of Warcraft's free trial. This trial allows the player to do whatever they want in the game for free up until level 20. This is a great way to experience some of the classes and basics of the game to discover what to do or whether the game is even suited for the beginner. There will be a couple of classes that can't be used in this free trial, but all the normal World of Warcraft classes will be available.

Don't Begin With Classic
Official World of Warcraft Classic art for the Vanilla launch of the game depicting an army facing off against Onyxia.
World of Warcraft Classic can only be played with a World of Warcraft subscription, and it focuses on how the game used to be. Players can essentially re-experience the original era of World of Warcraft. Currently, Wrath of the Lich King, which is considered the best expansion in the series, is the campaign.

While this is a great campaign to jump into, it isn't a great starting point for beginners. This is because Classic lacks all the tips and updates that the current World of Warcraft has. This means that the game is extremely difficult to follow and more difficult to figure out. Players should get a grasp of the normal World of Warcraft before they attempt Classic. Classic can still be daunting to get into, but players will have an easier time if they understand the basics first.

Start With One Of The Newer Campaigns
Official World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth art of Talanji and Jaina Proudmoore with armies battling behind.
The old campaigns are great and have helped define what World of Warcraft is today. However, they lack many qualities that the newer campaigns have, such as detailed quest tracking and renown progress.

Battle for Azeroth is one of the best campaigns to start with, and thanks to the level squish with Shadowlands, it has been redesigned to be perfect for new players. The beginning zone tutorial that new players have to complete at least once will also automatically push players into Battle for Azeroth. This is the best way to get into World of Warcraft as of now, as it's extremely smooth with its guide and story. Hopefully, Blizzard will upgrade its older expansions to fit the new style too.

Heroic Classes Are Ideal For Players Who Hate Grinds
The Demon Hunter class in World of Warcraft.
Traditionally most classes in Blizzard Entertainment's best game, World of Warcraft, will begin players at level 1 unless they have a level boost. However, heroic classes will actually begin the player at different levels depending on the campaign they're tied to. For the Death Knight, players will start at level 8, a class tied specifically to the Wrath of the Lich King campaign.

The second heroic class released was the Demon Hunter, which begins at level 8 as well, and is connected to Legion, which is a great campaign to begin with. The last heroic class is Dracthyr Evoker, which begins at level 58, meaning players will only have to level up twice to be able to begin the Dragonflight campaign. This works well if players want to skip the grind and get straight to the new campaign or to solo old raids.

Use Recommended Class Builds
Skill tree for Druid in World of Warcraft.
Building a class build is extremely difficult for beginners in what is basically one of the best medieval fantasy RPGs. However, World of Warcraft, thankfully, has an in-game system that will provide players with a recommended skill to unlock for their specialization.

Many players also catalog their own recommendations online that many agree with. These guides are more useful for World of Warcraft Classic but are great for both games for those who wish to know what armor stats they need to focus on. There's a lot to unpack when it comes to the skills and gear pieces, but there are many helpful resources online.

Be Active In The Community And Your Guild
A group of players in the same guild in World of Warcraft.
Being an active member of the World of Warcraft community is a vital part of success as a player. This may include online discords or forums. The game is designed to play with others, so players should try to find others willing to embark on the journey with them.

Guild members in one of the best MMORPGs of all time are also an important part of being successful in the game. Players shouldn't be afraid to leave guilds if they find them to be unwelcoming. Most guilds want new players, and they enjoy building each other up. It's also a great place to ask guild members for tips or help with a quest. Many player's team members are likely to be experienced, so there will be lots of people to ask for help who will provide useful responses.

Work On Professions
Profession leveling in World of Warcraft.
Professions are one of the most confusing parts of World of Warcraft, a sequel to Warcraft III that completely changed its video game genre because the game doesn't explain anything about them. There are also so many different ones that it's almost impossible to even know where to begin with them. here u can find some help.

Professions have different level bars depending on the expansion. So, there's less of a way to feel truly lost, but it's best to pick up a couple of professions before getting too into the game. Players should search online or ask a guild member for advice on what profession they should choose for their given class and build. A Paladin tank, for instance, should focus primarily on Engineering for the first profession and the second profession should be Jewelcrafting.

Looting Has Some Rules
Looting in World of Warcraft raid
Looting enemies is a common mechanic in video games. It works about the same as it does in World of Warcraft as it does in some of the other most immersive fantasy RPGs. However, players should do their best to loot everything they find.

Gold will always be needed in the game and selling what isn't needed from loot will keep the player's pockets full. Players should turn on the setting "auto-loot" in their settings so that they don't have to click on every individual item when they loot. Players should also be wary when looting in dungeons and raids with other players. For common courtesy players, generally, select "greed" for a roll to try and get the special drop. Selecting "need" is only supposed to be clicked by the player who genuinely needs the item.

Play PvP For Better Armor Sets
Vengeful Gladiator's Vindication pvp gear set for Paladins in World of Warcraft.
PvP is a really fun option for gameplay with various different game modes. Players will always be placed into two different teams where they complete whatever task is given to them such as Capture the Flag.

The best part of World of Warcraft's PvP is the rewards, and there are various rewards that players unlock based on their honor. The honor obtained can also be exchanged for Marks of Honor, which can be used to purchase gear from older PvP seasons. These contain some of the coolest-looking armor sets in the game and players should definitely go after these if they care for aesthetics. All the PvP armor can be used at the Transmogrification to change the appearance of their gear on the chosen pieces.

Participate In Raids And Dungeons
Players fighting Ragnaros in a World of Warcraft raid
Many new players find raids and dungeons daunting. This is because of how difficult it can be for players to form friendships and teams with other players. However, dungeons and raids contain some of the best content in the game.

Once players get a good grasp of one of the best MMORPGs out there and common etiquette, it's best to gather a team to enter them. However, if players still feel as if they can't get through a dungeon or raid without a toxic player, then it isn't the worst idea to just solo them. The general rule is that players can solo raids that they are at least 20 levels higher than. This mean's a max-level character in World of Warcraft, which is level 70, can realistically clear every expansion's raid and dungeon except Shadowlands. Though they may struggle with a few in Battle for Azeroth.

I'm playing sorceress too and I found some end bosses stupidly hard and some really easy. I guess other classes will see the same, but sorc is probably the most squishy class (especially with glass cannon spec'd, but who wouldn't!) if a boss has ranged attacks and your barriers are on cooldown.

Lvl 52 and still didn't finish the solo campaign so I guess I'm enjoying the sidequests. Its still as addictive as the original but the premise is the same - what nice item is this boss gonna drop??? Oh, nothing useful. OK TP and squish it all smile

I played sorc till level 56, made a mistake in playing it like an open world game and ending up at level 50 at pretty much the start of Act 2. Playing WT2 and being "trapped" till the end of the campaign and the capstone dungeon made it a trudge through easy bosses whilst simultaneously feeling very little power growth due to an over-reliance on vulnerability and a curious melee heavy style (teleport, frost nova, get out and CL etc)

Will head back for Season 1 to see the changes (not as a sorc though) but suspect ARPGs just aren't for me (although I did have "fun" in PoE for a bit).
