Reflex Charcoal, one of two produced. Non sc, non Sq box.
Richard - am assuming this one was the "Smolenski" car, which was proudly on show during Back Home? Amazing car indeed and I had the chance to sit in a car which felt very special indeed. Seem to remember the guide stating that the factory retained all the moulds for the model and the real issue as to preventing larger numbers of production was the bespoke interior parts?

Craig,
Same car. Cannot comment re production - but I am pretty damn sure that if 60 had been produced that they would have sold immediately - as all who have seen the Typhon or T440R have commented, they are simply stunning. The drive is how you would expect it to be - visceral, to say the least. Start up clears the woods of pigeons and crows alike!!
The name badge, design...
SC and Sq box were options. Neither of the Typhon's has them.
The T400R is quite a different beast, as evidenced by any of the photos on the forum let alone the raison d'etre.
The 440 is 4.2 S6, the Typhon a 4.0.

Clarification of Tvr Tuscan R Range
Fact.
Only the Orange Development Prototype Had " the Beech Box" TVR 6 Speed synchro gearbox sequential fitted for evaluation and it spent more time out than in.
The racecars had Hollinger and Hewland boxes
All Cars in R Range had same shape body work and trim
The T400-- Powered by the Tuscan S engine
The T440-- Breathed upon Tuscan S engine With upper airbox injectors as per race car spec
The TYPHON --- Breathed upon Tuscan S engine With upper airbox injectors as per race car spec with Vortech Supercharger and big Brakes pack, Only one was made "The Orange one"
The engine was removed and is sat in the "Social club" Engine Dev orange car now has standard S engine in but no gearbox as they didnt have one!
All these cars were built under the PW regime, Ns and Do had nothing to do with them
Then NS/DO stopped production
The Typhoon has only ever existed as drawings and rapid prototype 1/16 scale model
That the facts and we know because we built them!
Hope that sets the record straight !
Just glad to see that the Reflex charcoal car has gone to somebody who understands the nature of the car and will look after it
Be interested to know who they paid your money to as they owe me my last months wage!!!!!!
