Where are all the race cars?
Discussion
Away with work and a bit of time to waste I started watching videos/clips of TVR's racing. Which led me on to thinking when I first seen them, can't remember the year but it was at Croft and the 'power tour' which featured British GT, including a Scania speed 12, a Cerb and a host of varying Tuscans (I believe these were badged Tuscan R). That then got me thinking since then I have only seen two of the GT Type race cars ever since in current years, Str8six with the Texaco branded one and at the NEC Classic last yeah I believe was the LNT purple and orange. Where are the Le Mans racers Dewalt/ Synergy cars? And the other GT racers of that time?

That is stunning! Glad to see it still around and by the looks of it I'm very good condition. I think I have gotten confused between the LNT and the eclipse Harmon Larson car as they were of similar colour, not sure if they are one of the same in a different livery or separate cars. Thanks for posting that picture. TVR built 7 (real) racecars. There are/were a couple of show replicas the one at TVR101 being one of them
LNT owns 4 race cars.
The one in Gaydon is privately owned by John Hartstone.
The other two are as Alex_Gray suggests.
TVR never owned or ran any of the T400Rs they were all customer cars.
PS As mentioned numerous times on other threads, it's often not possible to identify race cars from their liveries as they often changed from year to year.
This is worth a read, slightly out of date now at the end with regards to ownership of some of the cars but mostly correct:
Typhon Race Cars

Ok thanks V8 GRF, I seen the one at TVR101 on Facebook today but did not know it wasn't a fully fledged racer. Do you know if they are building it to put on track? I'd love to see the LNT collection. Just spiked my interest as I understand they are going to run a race series next year for 90's/00's GT cars, Goodwood members meeting are doing a demonstration run I believe, wondered if next year we would see them come out of hiding and screaming around tracks.
Thanks for the response.
That link was a good read and very informative, thanks for pointing me in that direction.
