As always things are a little unpredictable but the beast 'may' be let out of the cage soon. Can't say where because I don't want to dissapoint.

Halleluyah! Look forward to seeing the pics.

BTW what is the final spec re gearbox settings and bhp?

Also have you carried out any other 'personalised tweaks' to the car from standard (if there's such a thing as a standard car)?

Questions.. questions

Yep, At very (i.e very, very) short notice the beast is out the cage (at last) . My Typhon is down at Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend and due to the incredible efforts of the TVR team it almost was ready to go for a run up the hill with yours truly beaming insanely at the wheel. Sadly it has just too few miles under the wheels (like 0 at the mo) and although its all fully functioning it would be daft to risk it. Look forward to saying hello to those who can make it - the car will be in the Supercar area for the duration of the weekend in TVR's care.

If the engine can be run up...what about a sound recording and posting it up Al?

Can't wait to hear how the Cerb's daddy will sound

Getting the dyno print out sometime next week - still pushing for the 603bhp I originally saw for mine but have to respect Simon and John's experience in setting the car up for now. Gearbox final drive still the longer 3.45:1 giving 29mph per thou in 6th. Lots of personal bits but being the first I bet you'll have anything useful I thought of in yours too! Hope to say hello at Goodwood if you get down.

Cheers

Alan

Good idea Pauline - if anyone has some decent sound recording equipment I'll aim to start her up either Saturday evening or on Sunday morn early when we can get a reasonable recording without too much background noise (- then again who am I kidding its so loud nobody's going to hear the background noise right ...)

The beast is parked in the Supercar Paddock at Goodwood right now, unfortunately it won't be driven up the hill as planned because it's too new and has never properly turned a wheel.

Whilst it was nice to show it off at Goodwood yesterday the number of people who didn't know what it is or thought it was a Tuscan was astounding. I spent hours trying to keep kids from scratching it and people from pushing, poking and treating it like it was some kind of dispensible show car. Muppets!

Al is down there all of today, doing the same, but for anyone that attends he will start her up and play a few tunes...
