Hi,
05 GT passed its MOT the other day with one advisory; very slight play due to front ball joints.

Googled a few suppliers, both here and the US but as I am a relative newbie, I am asking your advice.

Where do you recommend for these components?

Thanks in advance

(I have joined MOCGB but seems to take forever to process your application)

When I've not been able to source something from a UK supplier, RockAuto have been very reliable for me, although their shipping is a bit high if parts come from multiple locations.

Every US vehicle we send for MOT comes back with an advisory for play in the lower ball joints.

They'd probably say the same if I took a new car round.

I'd be inclined to ignore it.

Thanks for the replies.

Just prior to the MOT I had to replace two front tyres due to excess wear to the inside.
I ve hit a couple of kerbs since purchase(learnt too late that the beast does not handle like my previous s2000)so it made sense that the tracking was out.
Took the car to get the tracking properly fixed and due to play in steering they said it was pointless.
So now, to avoid the tyre wear again,I intend replacing the arms in order to fix the tracking.
Had a look at the link kindly provided.
Not want to look like a thickie, but which part of the many shown do i need?

Cheers Guys

Not knowing this flavour of Mustang, or where you feel you have play, I don't know that I can point to one part as being what you need here.

If you want someone to do the work, I've had good experiences with SurreyMustang but seeing as you're in Scotland I'm not sure that's much help really, and Roo's in Kent I think so that's not much closer...

This may be the part you are looking for. Not too bad to change, you will need to unbolt the steering rack and release slightly from its mount bracket to remove the front lower arm bolt.

Thanks for that.
I've seen those.
x2 it gets expensive.
Never thought I'd need to save for ball joints.
It's only a bleedin Ford....

If anyone has upgraded theirs and has the originals let me know
Cheers
