Advice on removing rear ABS sensor on '94 GT pls!
Discussion
Hi
Normally I lurk over in the TVR area, as my daily ride *never* goes wrong (whereas TVR's "offer more DIY opportunities.." )
But today I decided that it was time to replace the Mustang's rear wheel bearings, as one is just starting to grumble a fraction.
The diff stripped out fine but I can't get the 'C' clips out as I can't slide the axles in far enough due to the ABS sensors touching the sensor wheels. I have undone the sensor retaining nut but the sensor itself is still not budging.
Anyone have experience of removing the plastic ABS sensors without breaking them? I'm sure they're nice and fragile and, at around £100 a pair to replace, it seems wasteful to just smash them out.
Appreciate any wise words before I get out the WD40 and hammer
cheers,
Nick
