Can anyone tell me why v6 3.8 mustangs dont hold there money and are so hard to sell on i have seen a clean 96 one go for £1300 on ebay and a 5l v8 1988 for £450 i know fuels not cheap but seems so much car for such little money?

People want the V8. It's more desirable.

The early V6s had head gasket problems IIRC. However, in essence the V6 Mustang was the "starter car" and even up until 2009, the Mustang V6 didn't even get a rear anti-roll bar so they tend to be basic. Good base for modding though.

What 5.0 went for £450??

From what I've seen, people seem happy to over price (and presumably other people over pay) for V6 Mustangs. They are regularly priced at similar money to the V8's.
