Stroked Windsor
Discussion
I have a stroked 302, it has a 3.25 inch stroke giving just under 327 ci. I have seen 426 ci 351 Windsor motors, look at www.coasthigh.com/
for more info.
for more info.
I know of numerous Windsor Strokers in the Pantera community and they are routinely taken up to 427ci. The Cleveland has had less success with stroking for a number of reasons. Aftermarket parts availability is much better for a 351W than a 351C as well...
What do you want to know about it? Where to get components? Where to buy a crate 427 stroker? What is it like to live with? One option can be found at www.pim.net/crate.html
I've seen several of these engines installed in Panteras and they really are impressive. A Pantera outaccelerated a Diabolo VT last year as well as several lesser Ferraris to win the "Fastest Sports Car in Europe" award in Holland... Details can be found on the same website.
You could build your own for much less, I'm sure, but there is at least a turnkey option.
