They are about or price up importing one.
I def say go 99 or newer as they had the PI engine with 260hp. IMO they also look sharper after 01/2 face lift.
Personally would say try and find a Mach 1, 305hp DOHC aluminium 4.6 and active shaker scoop.
I would say you can buy a LS1 Camaro for less money though. Not sure why but Stangs always seem expensive in the UK.

03/04 is my aim, but its finding one, theres nothing out there
I'm sure one will turn up, although I admit they do seem rare in the UK for some reason.I know the £/$ exchange rate isn't great at the mo, but it might be worth pricing up importing one. Either by your self via a RoRo or there are companies which will source and import the car for you.

i know what your saying makes sense, but that means its alot of hassle to import, i cant check the car, plus importing it, i don't know how much that is but must be about 3k?
Cost price in dollarsShipping is as little as $850 ro-ro but you need marine insurance on top, say $200.
10% import duty
VAT on all the above.
Lighting conversion - white sidelights, orange rears (where appropriate), side repeaters, rear fog light.
Being under 10 years old, you have to SVA (now IVA) test it which is just under £200 test fee then registration and VEL on top.
There is a Camaro Z28 on Autotrader. Although it's a 1998, it's a low-miler. These cars offer 305hp and handle better than Mustangs and always came out on top in head to head tests. The 1998 used the Corvette C5 all-alloy engine with 8 coils. I had one and still miss it. Brilliant car.

At a minimum that much, likely much more. When I imported my car from yourside of the pond 2 years ago the price breakdown was something like this:
$1800 CDN to have jdmcars.ca handle everything, from his driveway to mine.
$2300 CDN for the oceanic trip, a roro
$1500 CDN for a train trip to Alberta
You might have to pay VAT on your car too. I had to pay 6% GST here on a car that
predated the intruduction of the tax!
Paying $1800 for someone to do your legwork sounds like a lot, but not when you consider
what your own airfare would cost.
Goodluck finding your Mustang.
I'm only 23, so 5.7 liter isn't going to happen with insurance, even tho i got a quote for a cobra(in case i find one) for £1200
i have looked at importing and the figures don't add up, doesn't seem that appealing for a lot of hassle and time,
looks like im either going to have to wait, or go to plan be ( supercharged jag )
thanks all for your time and effort, if any one does spot on before me, please let me know asap!
as im still hunting every hour on the web
