New Mustang boot space

We're planning a California road trip and would love to do it in a Mustang. However, we've a few concerns about the boot space in these.

Can anyone tell me what the boot space is like? We're hoping (dreaming) to be able to fit 2 large Samsonite hard cases in the boot!!

If it's just the two of you then you can fold the back seats down.
Or why don't you take some large soft bags.

Folding the back seats down or leaving stuff on the back seat is soemthing we dont really want to do as we'll be spending some days out with luggage in the car and the car in a car park.
