Basically the blower companies took their product wich was designed for EFI application and made it suitable for carb and hay presto one hell of a setup and (depending on the car) keep it stealth looking, that Capri did 175mph 2 years ago so i cant wait to see what it will do now.

Thats the kiddie thay went round the bend at 160mph brakes and engine smokin, he toasted the plugs big time and the engine looks like it had only been runnin on 6 cylinders if i remember rightly. The ol nitrous debate rages on, basically if you have the correct engine setup it will be no problem IE a stock 5.0 Mustang engine can take up to 150hp shot of gas, any more and you would have to upgrade the pistons etc. What people hear about are engines going bang and the only reason for that is misuse, not having an engine that can take it or using too much.

Ime open minded, never used it but willing to listen to fors and against,do's it matter what compression you run?,say if you wanna put in a 100hp shot.

I'm pretty sure that a stock ZR1 can take up to 150 shot without any mods at all (safely). There are stock Camaro's in our club wich are runnin that without any probs.

Do you think a modified Motor can take NOS(say around 100-150 shot) running say 12.3.1 compression and pulling the max amount of power naturally aspirated already or would it be too much.

Yes if i remember right, there is a billet crank(just been micro polished), J&E pistons and the heads are gasflowed ported&polished and the bottom end has been studded,,we are looking to get 600-650hp from her normally aspirated.

WICKED MOTOR, i wanna see that runnin up the Pod. As for stickin a bit of gas through it that wont be a problem at all, i'm just havin my motor rebuilt with similar specs and will be stickin a 150 poss 200 shot through it. If you wanna get a bit more tech info as my knowledge is limited checked www.ukstreetracers.co.uk go to the forum and post there as we have got some very knowledgable Chevy guys.

Holley systemax II (complete package)
Forged crank, pistons, eagle rods,
Lunati roller rockers blah blah blah should be good for around 350bhp plus the gas, 1/4 mile times hoping for 11's on slicks (street tyres might be pushing it but i will give it go)

Yeah Nitto drag radials and BF goodrich drag radials, good tyres but i used to use a Hoosier quick time and stand by those as a very grippy track tyre (careful in the wet though on road though).

Was speaking to a mechanic about this over the weekend, he said that is one wild motor you have got there and you might not even have to go down the NOS route. You wouldnt be able to stick a blower on there coz of the compression but with that much power hell that is gonna be quick
