Hi
I've done a search but not found any up to date results. Basically it's renewal time. Please can anyone recommend an insurance company (and their website if possible) that will accept modifications (such as exhaust, suspension and air filter)? I'm 32, 10 years protected no claims, no claims, no points.

I used to be with Adrian Flux who used to be quite good with my old car but they are very very hard to get hold of, if I remember only being open until 5pm. Are they any good now? Are there any other companies out there that accept basic mods like mine and are very reasonable and helpful and easy to understand when you ring their cust service in event of claims and any good when you actually need to use them? (Some companies are very good taking money but useless when it comes to dealing with claims and paying out.) I've tried the comparison sites but all are no good as they don't deal with mods.

Thanks for any help and info.

Another one here for A-plan.

More than happy to do my car and aren't really that bothered about the mods.

I have found A Flux to be fine via e-mail to be honest, and like you, have relatively minor mods on my 2000 GT (cold air intake, flowmaster mufflers).

+1
They currently promise to try and beat any quote at the mo as well.

I've just renewed my Mini with them for £100 FC with an agreed value. Can't moan at that!

Dependent on car but certainly A-Plan accept the stock Ford alarm whilst Flux insist you hack in a Clifford Cat 1.

I found AON Private Client to be one of the few people who would insure a modified, imported, LHD Mustang.. and a great quote as well.. !!

Thanks for all your replies and help guys.

I initially tried A-Plan - they appear to be a broker who passed me on to a third party broker called Call-Connect who recommended Adrian Flux and a few others - one was "Allen and Allen" (do NOT go with them - extremely bad customer service!). Anyway in the end I have done it myself and gone with Adrian Flux who came out with the best quote.

Performance Direct came up with a policy for my 5L modded '67 Mustang, cheaper than my little daily driver.
