Why does everyone selling a 1960's notchback Mustang try to position the car and take pictures that might make the car appear to be a fastback to a half-blind squinting drunk?

Do they think people might be fooled into thinking it's a fastback and buy it by accident?

Bit like those pictures on facebook etc.etc where minging mooses use silly camera angles to try and look attractive

Really bizarre but it seems to unfortunately have become the norm in Notchback Mustang owner land

I think may sellers like to try and capture buyers' imaginations by selling the "Mustang Legend" whatever the car may be. I love the way they're often advertised as an investment. For who? Only the guy selling it. For anyone that buys the car they're stuck with it for good.

In the US it's not so easy because they know the difference between a Mach 1, Boss, and a base model notchback.

Basically over here they try and palm us off with any old junk.

There's a Shelby clone on Autotrader for 30 grand. When the clouds have drifted away from your rose-tinted glasses, imagine trying to get rid of something like that - better wait; 1) for the credit crunch to be over, 2)that car to be the last Mustang left on earth, 3) Jesus Christ to appear again - driving a Mustang!

Anyway back to your point - a lot of people like the notchback because young Americans could only afford one as opposed to a fastback. Mind you we all know that the fastback is THE body style.....
