I've been phoning American car parts dealers to see if anyone has the lowered Eibach springs for an S197 (2005) Mustang GT.

This is what I've found so far:

Rodley Motors: No (didn't seem interested)
Customville: need to order from the USA
Blingrims.com: no answer to phone or email I sent 4 days ago
US Automotive: no answer (answerphone)
Motorsport Engineering: no answer
Awesome GTI: should be on next shipment around a week's time (couldn't guarantee it)

And a couple of others in Classic American I can't remember now...!

If anyone has bought Eibach in the UK from someone who had them in stock can you let me know so I can order some?

Cheers!

do you just want the springs, and if so how much do you want to lower the car by? The Roush springs are in stock and lower the car by an inch. They are £140 for the set plus vat and carriage.

Do you know how they compare with the Eibachs (similar spring rates?) I'm pretty local (Buckhurst Hill) so could pop by on Saturday.

I really don't know but I m sure Dave at Roush will know.
When I said in stock- I meant they are in stock at Roush so could have them here for Monday evening or latest Tuesday morning.
Cheers

Hi Charles, the Roush shocks get the thumbs up on the S197 site so I'll order a set. Do I have to phone you to order them?

Malc, the Roush springs aren't as low as the Eibachs so you don't get the flatter stance but neither do they give you any clearance problems on speed humps and they give a great ride. I use them and have no regrets.

I like the stance of your car though Wayne so the Roush shocks should be a good compromise. I plan to fit a set of 20" wheels soon too.

After owning C4 Corvettes I don't really want to return to that kind of ride again unless I have to...!

Yes, my 1985 C4 was a bit bone-jarring but I loved it anyway. Roush shocks are very good though most go for the Tokico adjustable D-Specs. Ther important thing is that the car is transformed from it's stock rocking horse on a speedboat ride. 20s are good. Any ideas on what style yet? The Shelby Razors are very popular though I've just seen these on a MOCGB car and think they look rather nice. Not sure what size they are though.

I think the Razors are most likely though I also like the wheels on Adetuno's silver S197 as they remind me of the Halibrands on the original Shelbys.

I won't be looking at the crazy huge blingtastic 20s I posted or anything like that!

The Razors are quite aggressive and different enough for me though I'll hunt around a bit more before making the commitment...
