I should, shouldn't I

Presently running a very tidy 07 GT. I like it, it goes like st of a shovel, and nice comfy tourer. See profile for pic
But I got the yank bug of bigger is better plus I want something with a little less body roll, squat / dive characteristics and a touch lower for looks (goes hand in hand I know) I hear the Bullet Mustang is a bit more like this. First nice w/e of the year last Saturday. So I went fo a test drive as you do in a Roush 427R and a Saleen S281. Christ on a bike were they quick
Not a fan of the styling though, I really like an understated look. So thinking of upgrading mine from a nice stock to basically a Saleen Sleeper. An afternoon spent on youtube only made me want it more. I do however want to keep good cruising characteristics, the Roush/Saleen were set up a little too stiff for comfy driving on rough roads but that might also be due to the racing seats)
Spec will be:
Saleen Supercharger to 475hp
Saleen Boost Gauges
Saleen Short Throw shifter
FRPP Suspension kit (Saleen doesn't seem to use a rear sway bar or higher durometer bushes??)
Just after some thoughts if any fellow PH'ers think its a good idea, recomend anything diferent or personal experience. Especially suspension. I'd like to keep it Saleen but the FRPP seems to be best value over the Roush. Anyone know howthe spring and roll rates compare?
Reckon it can al be installed for $11500 by the local dealer. Good deal I think, although I'm supposed to be saving for a house deposit. Oh well.

Had a Saleen S218 S/C and it was awesome. If you think its quick, try a JDM Speedlab tuned one.
I had the JDM upgrades added to mine and here wasnt much that could touch it on the road. Easily a low 12 second 1/4 mile car as it is.
I uprated the rear with BMR LCA's and Panhard rod (this is smilar to what Saleen put under the Extreme Saleen Mustang). The handling was extremely good and cornered well.
If possible try and get built internals so that if you want to upgrade from the stock 475bhp youll be able to do this. The stock internals are not able to handle over 500hp.
I would look at the exhaust as well as the fuelling. Swap out for the GT twin pump system too.

There have still been complaints about the FRPP ride which is still stiff. The best springs, IMHO are the Roush springs which are progressive and absorbent (and blue!). They drop the car 1" and 1.25" so doesn't give the hunkered down look so many seem to like at the back. I would also commend the Tokico D-Spec dampers which are what most of the tuners use. The result, using stock sway bars, is a firm but not jarring ride. Like you, I prefer a subtle look.
