Driving Route 66 in a convertible mustang - help

How big is the boot? Need to know so we can decide how big a suitcase we can take. Also anyone done it and have any must sees on the way?

I managed to get 2 large holdalls in the mustang we had in california. both about 120 litres each. they are narrower but taller than a regular suitcase. plus we got a maclaren buggy in there and a couple of small bags.
