A-Plan. No question.

Actually, if you do have any more questions, head on over to www.s197.co.uk (the UK's first 05+ Mustang forum)

I'm with DirectLine at the moment, but they do require a 3rd party immobilser which will fry your new Mustang at some point.

A-Plan. Generally cheapest by a country mile mfor most folk especially if modified and no requirement to hack the sh*t out of your electrics - the stock alarm will do them just fine.

Whatever you do, get the SVA electrics converted by a PROPER SVA conversion specialist as loads of these Mustangs are going down with fried junction boxes through poor wiring.

A plan were very good for me at £420.00 (age 34 06 V6 with full business use and my wife) but wanted to take my no claims from another policy so i would then have to start again on one of my other cars, even though i have 2 other polcies one with 17 years and one with 11 years no claims as well as using a company vehicle for 17 years, so i tried a few others and Adrian Flux were £620, but when i said i have a corvette that i have had for 11 years the chap on the phone spoke with his boss and came back with £439, as i had experience of driving american cars and they would not take the no claims from another policy, so Adrian Flux it was.

Thanks very much Guys, Some good information there... and as suggested the 2 best are A plan and Adrian flux, I think Direct line were the worst, as not only did they want me to install a Tracker, but they wanted 2 years NCB on top of that... but i am using my NCB on my other vehicle.... So if there are any other options please let me know... The search continues

Thanks again :-)

DirectLine want you to install a Tracker? Damn.......

I actually asked them if I could install a tracker rather than a second immobiliser and they said no, had to be an immobiliser.

One here for Adrian Flux - have insured my GT with them for 3 yrs now and always competitive and good to deal with. They also allow the application of a 25% discount arising from successful completion of a Ride Drive course which makes a considerable saving in the long term, plus gives some really good driver training.

I have had issues getting my mustang insured even though I have 9 years no claims etc...

What I get for having a Manchester postcode I suppose frown

anyways these are the quotes I got to give you an idea of pricing :

Adrian Flux = 910
Footman James = 1300
A-Plan = 1270
Norwich Union = 1600
MCE = 770

I was told that an under-writer by the name of Sabre would cover me for 610 but I couldnt find a broker who dealt with them.

I am going with the MCE Insurance, underwritten by Chaucer, at 770 which includes recovery and legal gubbins.

Which in all honesty I am happy with as my cooper JCW is 550.

hope the figures help someone!

Just don't EVER change any policy details......chances are they won't get it right. I'd hate to have to make a claim with them. frown
