Because PH doesn't usually have people mentioning the sale of their car on the forum when its already listed in the classifieds. Especially for a newbie.

That a bit funny aint it ?
I was just mentioning to bring it to attention. is there some back stage gentlemens club ruling is there .
I have been on piston heads on and off for the last couple years , its good because i like the astons as well as Shelby cars and Mustangs . newbie to posting a classified .. maybe , but not being on piston heads it self !

I think the problem is that there are 30,000 adverts at anyone time and if everyone who put an ad up, then posted it on the forum, the forum would be overrun with ads. Defeats the point of having an ad section if people use the forum as the ad section.

Actually - there is. It's one of the rules of posting on the forums, rules which you agreed to when you signed up (you know, the bit where you click 'I accept' without reading any of them).

The classifieds are there (free) for selling cars - the forums aren't.

I'll let this ride (there's no link to the ad at least) but for future reference, keep the advertising to the classifieds only please. Anyone who's on the lookout for a car will be looking where anyway.

Oh, by the way, if you've been on PH for 'years' how come your profile says you regisered on 1st Feb 2008 (we can see these things you know). If you have multiple profiles - well, that's two rules you've broken. The second usually results in a ban too so I'd wind your neck in if I were you.

PS. Steve - I'm here mate, just not 24/7 wink

I see no real problem, saying theres a shelby for sale! Its not a common car a one for on here and john was only pointing it out to other close mustang enthusiasts.

I have read loads of people talking about companys that have other cars for sale! is that not the same as what John as done.

I expect John paid to put the ad in that helps to run this forum.

John if you feel unwelcome here you know that there's other known friendly forum's to go to.

I very rarely come here myself because of the attitude, watch out for tinman he doesnt like classic mustangs and there owners, he thinks old people drive them. little does he know. trust him to put his pennys worth in. he made some unreasonable comments on the s197 forum thats incorrect.

Good Luck with the sale of your Beautiful Shelby. Hopefully someone here will purchase it to realise that they are as specail as any other supercar here.

Hey, I didn't say he shouldn't post it on the forum, i just explained why someone had flagged it. I'm not the post police.

Since I met two miserable classic Mustang owners, its been evened up with a chat with a classic Scottish owner at MPH. But even his S197 owning mate called him stuck up laugh

Ads are free on PH anyway.
