That's what I've got on mine. Have to turn the TCS off to get them to squirm. Good in wet & dry, and seem to last pretty well. Would probably put the same on again, which is about the best recommendation you can get, I reckon.

I've got T1-R's on mine which will replace the T1-S I believe. Happy so far but only had them on for 200 miles or so.

Can still spin up the rears with fords "liberal" TC

I've got the old T1-Rs on my 300zx. Great dry grip, not so good in the wet. They were good value and have lasted well. I'd have them again.

Seems a lot of Mustang owners in the US use Nitto tyres. Anyone know if they are available here? I'd not heard of them until I started buying (far too many) Mustang mags.

The T1Rs are highly rated http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Toyo/T1R.htm but the general consensous is it's a fair bit better than the T1S.

Check out FK452s if you're after a grippy budget tyre.

I like Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s and Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres. For the lower budget tyres, I'm quite happy with Kumho Ecstas.
