05+ Mustang V8 GT Servicing
Discussion
Hi All,
Just a quick query - how much are you all paying for the servicing of your 2005+ V8 Mustangs?
Servicing is every 5000 miles, right? Anyone had any bad 'shocks' from Ford?
I've bene looking at getting a Corvette 'for fun', but have since decided to wait a bit longer for a C6. In the meantime, I'm thinking of the V8 'Stang as a daily driver (for commute to work), so just wanted to know how servicing comes out.

It is just a general oil/filter change every 5k miles, my local Ford dealer charges me approx £70 for this, they keep the filters on the shelf and although the handbook specifies 5/20 oil the ford garages keep 5/30 in stock which is fine,if any garage says they have to order in oil or filters specially for you they are trying it on,the filters are the same as a V6 mondeo

really even on the V8? interesting and good to know! what about the older mustangs from the mid to late 90's as i've thought bout getting one of them one day when bored of the beemerMines an '05 V8 GT as daily drive (23k ovwer 16 months). Actually serviced it approx every 6k rather than 5k - to date 3 services total under £250.
Absolutely no faults and totally reliable.
Can't recommend highly enough (but get exhaust replaced with meatier alternative - plenty of threads on here or www.mocgb.net- so that sounds like proper muscle car)
