I have just fitted a C&L intake plus custom tune from BrenSpeed which has really livened up my car, however after some high speed braking I find my stock pads just give up!! As a result I have just brought a full set (front and Rear) of EBC Red Stuff pads to hopefully give me some extra stopping power without the fade!!
Has anybody else used these pads on a 05 GT, or have I made a boo boo in buying these!

i'd like to hear how you get on, because I'd love to give mine just a small increase in performance without putting new discs in. i know a friend put mintex pads on his VXT and that just transformed his brakes - but he gets a howl at low speed from the pads now.Has anybody else used these pads on a 05 GT, or have I made a boo boo in buying these!
Well its been a week since installing my 'Red Stuff' pads and so far no real complaints, except having to clean the brake dust off my chrome rims after every trip although I hope that will settle down.
Braking seems to have improved now they have bedded in and feel much more confident about braking hard more than once or twice in a row!
One issue I did have was, the return springs on the front pad are not very well secured and in two instances they popped off when installing, however these was installed on the piston side and don't appear to be giving any problems!
I will probably try Hawk pads next time to see if they are any better as these do squeak a little at low speeds and I suspect the pad wear is going to be high going by the amount of brake dust generated!

Normally thats true, but as the mustang is a heavy car it is the recommended option in the EBC range.
However, they are expensive, best I could find was £143 for a full set! What I find strange is, they are stamped made in United Kingdom but if you check out the US websites you can get a full set there for $149 - what is all that about !!!
