Hmm, I was burbling along today and decided to play with the cruise, which I didn't try when I bought the car a couple of months back. It switched on fine. A while later I changed lane and was puzzled why the cruise disengaged. Thought nothing of it and re-engaged it. Needed to slow down some time later and found to my joy that it stubbornly fought to keep me at the same speed despite me shoving my foot on the brakes
yikes

I think someone's been doing some rewiring... it disengages when the indicators go on rather than the brake light. Looks like a session with Mr Haynes this weekend.

Hi,

Sounds like the company who did the conversion tapped in to the wrong brake wire off the sender unit from the brake pedal. We have had to fix several badly converted mustangs whith crusie control problems as well as other conversion problems. Please call 01582 401 049 and my technician can walk you through what you need to do.

Thanks for the offer
I'll take a look to see if it is obvious and come ask for help if it isn't.
Cheers
