Guys,

As I have a new set of wheels coming under warranty,I am contemplating fitting new rubber to the new wheels and using them for the summer and relegating my current wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres on for the winter.

I have been looking around and have fallen in love ( yea pervy I know) with these....

Anyone got them/ tried them love them/ hate them. Be good to get feedback on whether they are worth paying for on the Saleen.

Kev

ps. Then again I need to check they are available in the right size.

Hi Steve

When you first got your Saleen did it have the Pirreli P ZERO on or have you always had Dunlop Sports on it?

As I am due for new tyres and am considering either Dunlop Sport MAXX or the Michelin PS2 tyres, I just want the best and am not bother about the price.

love the tyre tread!

this is the one i was looking at when the Marks&Sparks tyres are over:

pity they are not available in the original 17" GT size.

Kev - are they the A048's?

If so, I can only comment on my experience with the A032Rs. Great for grip - until it's lost, then it goes VERY quickly. Tyre life will be minimal and don't expect much traction in the wet!

Personally, I'd got for Goodyear F1s or Toyo T1Rs as a good all rounder.

Yep A048s....but not available in 275x40x20's though...bugger....

Not really too keen on the Pirelli's that are on their at the moment and know there are the Dunlops......

At £200 plus each, I want to make sure I make a good choice.

I vcan vouch for the dunlops Kev! Lusifer will agree with me on those, although not cheap (approx £250 a corner) in my opinion of using them both in wet and in the dry they are well worth the money

Cheers Steve...will look up blackcircles.com and see what the best price for them will be. Hopefully the new rims will be here some time next week.

Thanks

Kev

I've got Sportmaxx 275/35 x 20's on mine. Top tyres. The stock Pirellis aren't very good but being 235/55's were never really comparable anyway.

Hi there

Thats what is currently on mine. But I am in need of new tyres and am either gonna go with the Dunlop Sport Maxx or Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres. Both are highly rated just a hard decision with what to go with now.

The stock GT wears 235/55's. Saleens have better wheels and tyres as standard.
