Not quite what it seems

At first, I thought "I don't remember ever seeing the original concept car painted red, well, not the coupe anyway". But, look closer. I do believe that's a very faithful recreation on an '05.

Or is it? The original post is from Dec '03! So, is this a version of the concept that never made it?
