Autotrader is a dangerous site.......I'm not 'sposed to be looking until next Spring, BUT...............

I shouldn't be tempted because:

A - It's Tungsten (My 1st choice is black BUT the grey will hide the dirt n' dust)
B - It's got the lowly 17" wheels (BUT these will be replaced with 20" black Bullitts)

BUT this would look right at home in my new garage

lick

Actually, I do know what's around the corner........it's a 'kin bigger mortgage hehe

Once we're in our new place (still no moving date yet) I reckon I'll be putting the Zed up for sale within days. Once that's gone, I'll be looking a lot more seriously. yes

Edited to say: Having just checked your profile and website, I see what you were getting at. That's a serious amount of money you've raised. Good luck and good health. Cheers, Paul beer

Cheers guys. Who knows Stig, paying £400/year in road fund license may make them cheaper even sooner! eek

Mr Kipling, I do wonder sometimes what the rest of you guys and gals make of all my postings. I hope they are never annoying or boring. I do have it bad for this car at the moment. What I can't believe is that for a while I was steadfast in wanting a Monaro. Still a great car and a brilliant engine, but the Mustang just has soooooooooo much more charisma. I just want to share all my enthusiasm with like minded internet friends.

I'm really looking forward to seeing yours at Wheels Day

Cars registered after 1st March 2001 are charged road tax on emissions.

Cars registered before that date are charged on engine size, up to 1549 cc is £110 per year, over 1549 cc is £175 per year.

Because Mustangs aren't officially sold in the UK DVLA has no emission info so they're taxed on the engine size basis for pre 2001 cars, that's why it's £175 per year. They just don't know the emissions of imports. That's all

So, the Mustang will still only be £175 under the new rules? That's kind of ironic. hehe

Isn't that almost the best bit of getting a new car though. Working out your price range then doing some "man maths" to increase it 25%. And then setting your date when you can buy but bringing that forward all the time untill you think "f**k it, I'll get one this weekend". I often think if I had all the money I needed to go and buy the car I wanted, it wouldn't be half as much fun. You've got to obsess for a bit before you make your purchase - that's what makes it great.

Yeah but I assume you never went 5K over on the car. Mods don't count - that comes under running costs so it's ok to spend more once you've got it! Which is nice.
